The Group Sessions offer something individual therapy cannot: the lived experience of being seen, challenged, and held by others who are also doing the work of knowing themselves.
We are shaped in relationship — and we heal in relationship too. Group therapy creates a unique container where patterns that show up in your everyday life also show up in the room, in real time, with others present to witness and reflect.
Ananya facilitates the space using a Transactional Analysis and trauma-informed framework, with a somatic and relational lens. The group is not a workshop or a support circle — it is a therapeutic space where what unfolds between members becomes the material for deeper self-understanding.
It is a space where you can be honest about what is actually happening inside you — not the version you present to the world, but the more tender, complicated truth underneath.
"The group offers something rare — a mirror held by more than one person. What you see there, you cannot unsee."
Other group members reflect back patterns you may not see in yourself — with care and honesty.
Discovering that others carry similar fears and longings can dissolve the isolation that pain creates.
Relationships within the group become a safe place to practice new ways of being with others.
A consistent time, a consistent group, and a consistent facilitator create safety for deeper work.
Each session begins with a brief check-in — how are you arriving today? What's present?
The main body of the session is open space — Ananya facilitates what arises between members.
Ananya may offer reflections through a TA or body-based lens when useful to the process.
Each session closes with a grounding moment — returning to yourself before leaving the space.
Group work is offered at a rate that makes consistent attendance possible.
Not necessarily, though some prior experience with therapy or self-reflection is helpful. If you're unsure whether group work is right for you, reach out and Ananya can help you decide.
The group has a stable core membership to allow trust to build over time. New members join when there is space. Enquire to find out current availability.
That is very common — and it is itself something the group can work with. You're not expected to perform or share on command. Ananya creates space that is gentle and non-pressuring.
Confidentiality is a foundational agreement of the group. What is shared in the group stays within it — this is established clearly with all members at the outset.
Group work takes time to unfold. A minimum of a month is recommended to get a real sense of the space. Many members continue for much longer once they find their footing.
